3rd Annual Trunk-or-Treat: A Spooktacular Night of Family Fun!

By: Krisdy Riddle

Candy, treats, and balloons – oh my! Our 3rd Annual Trunk-or-Treat was held on Friday, October 24th, right here in the parking lot of our Caldwell shop. With our best turnout yet, this year’s event was our most successful Trunk-or-Treat to date!

Each year, we host this family-friendly celebration to provide a safe and fun space for local families to trick-or-treat while giving back to the community that has supported us so much over the past five years.

The Event

Trunk themes covered everything from Western rodeos to haunted graveyards, featuring creative setups with spiders, skeletons, tattoo booths, and more. The atmosphere was the perfect mix of joyful and spooky.

Families strolled through the decorated trunks, collecting candy, enjoying hot dogs, and balloons, casting their votes for favorite trunk decorations, and even picking out temporary tattoos and stickers.

The crowd favorite of the night was our shop manager Kyle (aka Chucky) and his wife Wendy (Tiffany), whose “Decay-Care” setup featured a collection of creepy dolls that gave everyone chills and plenty of laughs! Their creativity earned them first place in our trunk decorating contest and a $100 cash prize.

Community

We couldn’t have done it without the amazing support of our neighbors and local partners!

  • Beacon Plumbing hosted a fun, hands-on area where kids could color and paint pumpkins, and even offered sweets and treats to take home!
  • The Windshield Doctor brought a spooky van setup labeled “Free Candy,” which got plenty of laughs (and photos!).
  • Idaho State Towing arrived with a massive tow truck turned haunted graveyard, complete with a skeleton in the front seat.
  • Airgas in Caldwell donated a helium tank for us to pass out balloons for the children.
  • We also welcomed Freedom PaymentsCanyon County Sheriff’s OfficeDennis Dillon, and NAPA, who all went above and beyond decorating their trunks.
  • Our very own sponsored, Miss Teen Rodeo, Rylee McGehee, also made a special appearance, showing off her western-themed decorations and community pride.

Community events like this are some of our favorite moments of the year. They remind us how strong our bonds are here in Caldwell and how much we value that small-town connection.

At Archers Auto Repair, our work goes beyond repairs. We are committed to giving back and supporting the families who have supported us for years. Events like Trunk-or-Treat let us celebrate that relationship with fun, laughter, and gratitude.

Looking Ahead

We’re already brainstorming new ideas for next year’s Trunk-or-Treat and can’t wait to make it even better!
