Some friendships stand the test of time whereas some fizzle out through life’s obstacles… and then there’s the kind of bond that becomes something greater, like the partnership that keeps Archers Auto Repair running strong. Our owner Scott and Caldwell shop manager Kyle have sustained a friendship for more than three and a half decades, which has grown into Canyon County’s most trusted auto repair shop.
The Beginning
Back in junior high, Scott and Kyle ran in the same circle of friends but they weren’t particularly close. That changed after Scott faced betrayal – coming home one summer to find the group had turned against him. Kyle was the only one who stayed out of it, and from that moment on the two connected not just as friends but as brothers.
Though Kyle enjoyed motorcycles and Scott leaned towards cars, they both were outcasts who had each other’s backs. They soon started spending time together fishing, camping, and hunting – sometimes even alongside Scott’s Uncle Tim.
Life Taking Different Paths
Eventually Kyle enlisted in the U.S. Army and moved to Germany, while Scott remained in the U.S… Communication was sparse, but their brotherly bond never faded. Years later Kyle and Scott worked alongside each other at a corporate dealership, where Scott was a mechanic and Kyle worked in parts and eventually service advising.
Coming Full Circle
By 2020, Scott stepped away from the dealership to start his own business, Archers Auto Repair, and quickly found greater happiness running his own shop. Meanwhile, Kyle grew drained by the stress of the dealership life. A few years later he reached out to Scott to ask if Archers needed a service advisor.
And the rest is history.
Kyle jumped right in, brought his leadership skills to the table, and quickly rose to become manager of the Caldwell shop. His proven success gave Scott the confidence to open a second location in Nampa, entrusting Kyle to continue leading the Caldwell shop with the same loyalty and integrity he exhibited throughout his life.
Why It Matters
For Scott and Kyle, friendship has always been built on honesty, loyalty, and integrity – the same values that now define Archers Auto Repair. Our foundation is not just built on skilled auto repair, it’s based on a team with decades of trust, friendship, and shared values.
At Archers, we believe a business built on strong values creates better experiences for our customers. Whether you need a routine maintenance service, honest advice, or a repair you can depend on, just take it to Archers where you will be treated like family.
